Drape yourself in the beauty of the Martian surface! Elegant, lightweight chiffon scarves are designed and sewn by a Ph.D. astronomer, using a real space image from the HiRISE camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. Perfect for wearing in so many ways or gifting to anyone with whom you love sharing space. This color-enhanced image is polar layered deposits in the Chasma Boreale canyon. "The polar layered deposits appear red because of dust mixed within them, but are ice-rich as indicated by previous observations. The water ice in the layered deposits is probably responsible for the pattern of fractures seen near the top of the scarp. The darker material below the layered deposits may have been deposited as sand dunes, as indicated by the cross-bedding (truncation of curved lines) seen near the middle of the scarp. It appears that brighter, ice-rich layers were deposited between the dark dunes in places." Thanks to the whole HiRISE team, including Ken Herkenhoff for original caption.
Scarf is 55 inches long and 14 inches wide, made from 45 gsm polyester chiffon printed with ecologically safe inks (OKEO-TEX certified). Each scarf is finished with a professional rolled hem and rounded corners, packaged in a beautiful box ready for gifting. Care instructions: gently spot-clean with a damp cloth. Handcrafted using solar power (and goat companions) in France.
