We were so excited about the images from JWST, and today we take a look at one particularly beautiful piece of art inspired by the mission — stained glass created by astronomers David Law and Nora Luetzgendorf!
For the picky pre-teen, this is a great purchase! Fits true to measurements (not necessarily age-size) so read those closely (bought a 14 for a tall 11 year old and fits great!), and the yellow color is nice and bright (safest in water for summer!) but also “cool” enough to wear. Sun and stars for the win!
Those are fine photographs of Startorialist’s total solar eclipse necklace, but they don’t quite do it justice. This necklace is truly gorgeous, and — in the humble opinion of a veteran of two total solar eclipses — exactly captures the eerie and beautiful moment when partial eclipse gives way to totality. If you were lucky enough to be in the path of totality and under clear skies, this piece will bring the experience back to you. If you weren’t able to get beneath the Moon’s umbra on April 8th, this necklace will transport you to a place that’s pretty close. It captures the magic of a total solar eclipse about as well as any art work can. I’m glad I found this, and I know my wife is going to love it.
