Wear the Eagle Nebula’s iconic Pillars of Creation in a whole new light - infrared light, that is! Made famous by Hubble's first image taken in 1995, this distinctive formation of cosmic dust was revisited in 2014 with observations at both visible and infrared wavelengths. The Eagle Nebula is an open cluster of young stars also known as M16, 7000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Serpens.
