You'll be twirling in sunshine with this sweet skater skirt featuring a real image of the sunspot, the first such image from the National Science Foundation's Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST, pronounced dee-kisst"), the most powerful solar telescope in the world. Part of the National Solar Observatory, it is a 4-meter diameter telescope located at the summit of Haleakalā on the island of Maui, Hawai’i. The image on the skirt was taken on January 28, 2020, with the darker areas representing a "cool" sunspot, only about 6,000° F, compared to 10,000° F for the Sun's surface on average.
Skirt is 82% polyester, 18% spandex, approximately mid-thigh length with flat elastic waistband, overlock seams, and coverstitch hemline. Blank product components sourced from China or Lithuania.
