Shine with the light of thousands of galaxies across billions of years of spacetime! This dress is printed with the Hubble eXtreme Deep Field (HXDF) image, which contains over 5,500 galaxies, some seen as they were over 13 billion years ago, just half a million years after the Big Bang. The image was made using eight optical and infrared light filters and required about 22.5 days of observing time. The area on the sky is much smaller than the Full Moon, toward the southern constellation of Fornax.
Dress is made from 82% polyester, 18% spandex smooth and stretchy fabric with with an elastic waistband, approximately mid-thigh length skirt, overlock seams, and coverstitch hemline. Blank components sourced from China.
