The cute tuft of white fuzz for a polar cap makes this stuffed Mars a cute toy for small kids like my grandson. For my year in grad school, I studied Mars in many ways, writing my thesis on mapping its surface composition from Earth, acquiring skills which have kept me employed ever since. I bought two stuffed Mars so I could keep one for myself!
I bought this stuffed version of the second planet in our solar system known to have rings (which I helped discover in 1977) for my grandson's first birthday. Its thin rings make it hard to model but this smiling-faced planet does its job. And it's cuddly, too.
