#FaceMaskFriday and Some Light in the Darkness

If you had told me six years ago that I would be writing a blog post as CEO of STARtorialist, Inc., I would have been pleasantly surprised. If you had told me six months ago that the most popular space-inspired products in our newly-launched online shop would be space-inspired handmade fabric face masks, I would have been baffled beyond belief. And yet, here we are, living amidst a pandemic and global upheaval while doing our best to stay home and care for the most vulnerable among us.

It may seem silly to talk about things like fashion or style at a time like this. Here's the thing, though: clothing and accessories and gifts are not superficial, but universal. Everyone wears clothes, even if we only see our co-workers and classmates from the shoulders up. We still express ourselves and connect with other people, even while physically distant, and face coverings are a way to do that while also helping keep people safe.

You may be tightening your belt, but we hope you realize how each purchase you make can mean the world to a small business like ours and the designers we work with. We hope this endeavor is shining some light during these dark times for you as it is for us.

Thank you, astro-fashion fans, for supporting and sharing our mission. It truly means the Universe to us.
