Congratulations to our CFO Kelle Cruz, 2022 AAS Fellow!

Earlier this month, STARtorialist's Kelle Cruz was named as one of the 2022 AAS Fellows!

Twenty-three AAS members were awarded this honor this year for their "extraordinary achievement and service...original research and publications, innovative contributions to astronomical techniques or instrumentation, significant contributions to education and public outreach, and noteworthy service to astronomy and to the Society itself."

Beyond her work at STARtorialist, Kelle is an Associate Professor at Hunter College of the City University of New York, and does research on small stars and brown dwarfs. She has also contributed so much to the astronomical community, including founding both the AstroBetter blog and ScienceBetter Consulting, LLC, two important resources for astronomers.

She was awarded this honor "for her continuous dedication to the betterment of the scientific process and community, including her efforts founding the AstroBetter blog, serving in important leadership roles within the AAS, and authoring seminal papers in brown dwarf science."
