NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission has returned a sample from the asteroid Bennu, and now you can WEAR where it came from! This bandana is printed with an image of the landing site (nicknamed Nightingale) taken with PolyCam, an 8-inch diameter telescope onboard the spacecraft, part of the OSIRIS-REx Camera Suite. Use it as a hanky, napkin, baby bandana, pet bandana, table setting, eco-friendly gift wrapping, even as a no-sew, non-medical face mask (video instructions from the CDC).
Bandanas are approximately 22 inches square with a white border around the graphic. Designed by planetary science Ph.D. student Amanda Stadermann, who was inspired by the ORISIS-REx launch during her first semester of graduate school at the University of Arizona, which is also the mission's lead institution. Printed by the Gloo Factory, a community-minded union Print shop in Tucson, AZ, USA.
